Really Raw Cheese

In terms of nutrition and taste, the difference between Beyond Organic’s Green-Fed Raw Cheese and the cheese from grain cows you find in most stores and restaurants is as different as two different forms of the same food gets.

Cows are naturally grass feeding animals, however, 85-95% are raised in confinement on a diet of grain, particularly corn that is often covered in toxic mold, because it is far more cost effective for the farmer. Because this grain-based diet is highly abnormal and disruptive, it changes the ph in cows. This then sets up an environment and terrain in the cow for many abnormal physiological conditions in the cow which can increase the need for the use antibiotics. Further, to promote faster growth and more excessive milk production, many of these dairy cows are fed a variety growth hormones. All of this makes for the severely unhealthy dairy products that you’ll find on virtually all grocery store shelves.

Cheese from grain-fed cows is very high in Omega-6 fatty acid that most people get far too much of. Too much Omega-6 can lead to a variety of diseases and a larger waistline. Meanwhile, it is quite low in the good Omega-3 fatty acid that most people are dangerously deficient in. It is also very low in “conjugated linoleic acid,” or CLA, that is essential for our health.

Green-Fed Raw cheese, on the other hand is one of the few foods that has a perfect ballance of Omega-3′s to Omega-6 fatty acids, exceptionally high in CLA, and is considerably higher in the vitamins beta-carotene, A, D and E. Beyond Organic’s Raw cheese is also 100% devoid of all antibiotics, toxins, and hormones that you will find in the cheeses at your regular grocer.
