Introducing Amasai: Beyond Organic’s Praiseworthy Accomplishment

In previous posts we’ve talked about the importance of the GreenFed diet and how cattle raised on this diet pass down CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) to the consumer, increased amounts of vitamins, minerals, etc. We’ve talked about Beyond Organic’s A2 milk herd and how A2 beta casein is the historically traditional ‘healing’ milk of our ancestors. We’ve also talked about the extreme role probiotics play in a healthy digestive system and how that can improve immune function drastically. Beyond Organic has combined all three of these powerful elements into one delicious product, called Amasai.

The following is information gathered from Beyond Organic in regard to Amasai:

Amasai is:
• USDA Organic
• GreenFed – No Grains
• Cultured with over 30 probiotics, Inspired by traditional recipe of Africa’s Masai tribe
• Unique profile of true whole milk nutrients created through select heritage dairy breeding, green grazing and feeding program and olde world culturing and production methods for a delicious, highly digestible cultured dairy beverage.

Five Fold Difference:
1. GreenFed – Their dairy cattle intensely graze on grasses and greens such as forbs, herbs and legumes – no grain and have a peaceful, happy existence while free-roaming our thousands of organic pasture in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains.
2. Heritage Breeding – bringing back an ancient genetic profile originating in India, Africa and the Middle East for heritage dairy cattle that thrive on greens, and yield wide nutrient diversity and high nutrient density.
3. True Whole Milk – no skimming of fat, resulting in a complete, more natural balance of seasonal variation of fats and proteins, with higher levels of fat-soluble vitamins.
4. Low-Temperature Processed – long term, low temp pasteurization – leaving delicate proteins in their whole, un-denatured state.
5. Olde World Culturing – over 30 live probiotic cultures that are historically validated coupled with longer term culturing to create a wide array of beneficial compounds including organic acids and enzymes and a more complete pre-digestion of nutrients.

Amasai will be launching with 3 flavors including Plain, Milk & Honey (this is the one I tried…delicious!) and Berry. They come 6 pints per case with a shelf life of 6 to 8 weeks minimum. Their taste is similar to the drinkable yogurts or yogurt smoothies available at the grocery store. Absolutely delicious!
